Good Theoretical Coverage

Despite being a dozen years old, this book discusses radio pretty thoroughly.
Although technology marches on, there are very few new devices since it was written, and no new theories have been presented.
The book is not for someone who wants to fix their TV antenna. It's pretty high tech. It deals with all practical aspects of radio wave propagation via the ionosphere, and gives good antenna design information in spite of the fact that most antenna examples given are for military applications.
Some of the included data (theory and charts etc.) are difficult if not impossible to find at this price.
This book is great educational reading for those who want to know the heavy stuff about radio wave propagation.

Very practic book

This book is very simlple to understand at the same time as it cover most of what is important to know when you put a antenna up in the air. As a radioamateur i love the way the stuff is presented, without much matematics. Still it is easy to understand.
Many practical illustrations of antenna setups and how reflections etc. Influence on communication on hf and vhf.
